Who you are

You hold a bachelor's degree and have at least 5 years of experience in the financial or e-commerce sectors, specifically in fraud detection systems (FDS) or anti-fraud operations. Your background includes a strong understanding of payment fraud regulations and the ability to communicate effectively across teams. You are skilled in data analysis and have experience managing operations to improve quality metrics. Your knowledge of FDS and related tools enables you to enhance fraud response capabilities effectively.

You have a proven track record in establishing and improving fraud detection systems, and you are adept at analyzing payment and operational data to identify areas for improvement. Your experience includes hands-on involvement in anti-fraud operations, where you have successfully collaborated with various departments to mitigate risks. You are also familiar with collecting and utilizing fraud-related intelligence to inform your strategies.

Desirable

You possess advanced data analysis skills, particularly in managing and improving operational processes. Experience in payment fraud or similar areas is a plus, as is proficiency in tools such as Python and SQL for data analysis. While not mandatory, the ability to communicate in English or other foreign languages is beneficial.

What you'll do

As a Senior Fraud Analyst at Coupang, you will lead the Payment Fraud Detection and Response team, focusing on preventing payment service abuse and fraudulent transactions. Your responsibilities will include managing the quality of anti-fraud operations and establishing metrics for continuous improvement. You will analyze payment data alongside operational data to uncover improvement points and enhance the usability of the fraud detection system.

You will oversee a 24x365 anti-fraud operation, ensuring that your team is well-supported and organized. Your role will involve establishing and executing detection systems for fraudulent activities and anomalies, collaborating closely with relevant departments to ensure a cohesive approach to fraud prevention. You will also be responsible for improving the capabilities of the fraud detection system, leveraging your expertise to implement effective strategies.
