You have over five years of experience in tax management, ideally within Big-4 public accounting or industry, and possess a thorough understanding of partnership taxation. Your background includes significant exposure to tax compliance and consulting, particularly in relation to M&A transactions. You are a strong communicator, capable of building relationships with clients and internal teams alike, and you have a keen interest in mentoring junior team members to help them grow in their careers.
Your project management skills are well-honed, allowing you to oversee complex tax projects effectively. You are comfortable working directly with clients, often on-site, and you thrive in environments that require adaptability and problem-solving. A bachelor’s degree in accounting is essential, and a master’s in taxation along with a CPA designation is preferred.
You are knowledgeable about private equity-related tax adjustments, partner allocations, and foreign filings, and you are eager to assist clients with implementing new tax technologies and process improvements. Your ability to provide clear verbal and technical memos on tax issues is a key asset in your role.
Experience with tax technology implementation and a proactive approach to process improvements will set you apart. A continued interest in developing your skills and those of your team members is highly valued.
In this role, you will review federal and state income tax compliance for partnerships, S-Corporations, and various private equity structures. You will support client tax departments through various project-specific roles, acting as an outsourced tax manager or assisting with restructuring efforts. Your expertise will be crucial in assisting clients with M&A transactions, particularly regarding tax due diligence.
You will provide clients with insightful verbal and technical memos on partnership taxation and tax reform, ensuring they are well-informed about their obligations and opportunities. Your role will also involve establishing strong relationships with internal tax leaders and collaborating with them to enhance service delivery.
As you work directly with clients on-site, you will help them navigate complex tax issues and implement effective solutions. Your project management skills will be essential in overseeing the successful execution of tax projects, ensuring that all deadlines are met and that clients receive the highest level of service.
