Google is seeking a Senior Manager for Privacy and Security Compliance to lead compliance initiatives across the organization. You'll leverage your extensive experience in compliance and risk management to influence executive stakeholders and ensure alignment on compliance objectives. This role requires 14 years of experience in compliance-related fields.
You have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience, along with 14 years of experience in compliance, risk management, investigation, auditing, legal, or consulting. Your background includes at least 10 years in a people management, supervision, or team leadership role, showcasing your ability to lead and develop teams effectively. You possess experience drafting compliance-related documentation, controls, and policies, and have a proven track record of working with cross-functional teams to achieve compliance objectives.
Your qualifications may include an advanced degree in law, business, compliance, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. You are knowledgeable about compliance program management principles, risk assessment methodologies, and internal control frameworks. Your leadership and people management skills are excellent, enabling you to influence and collaborate effectively with executive stakeholders and various teams. You excel in investigative, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, and can communicate compliance concepts clearly and concisely to both technical teams and executives.
In this role, you will advocate for compliance programs effectively, communicating program status and impact to executive stakeholders while ensuring alignment on objectives. You will enhance awareness of compliance requirements and best practices, translating insights into actionable recommendations and initiatives. Conducting in-depth risk assessments will be a key responsibility, as you proactively identify potential compliance gaps and develop and implement mitigation plans. You will work closely with various teams to ensure compliance needs are met while enabling innovation across Google’s diverse product offerings.
