Who you are
You have a proven track record in sales, particularly in engaging with mid-sized customers and understanding their unique needs. Your experience includes managing complex sales processes that involve multiple stakeholders and negotiations. You are comfortable working with executives and CXOs, demonstrating your ability to communicate effectively at all levels of an organization. You thrive in a remote work environment and are flexible with your working hours to accommodate clients across different time zones. You are motivated by the opportunity to help organizations leverage IoT data to improve their operations and drive efficiency.
Desirable
Experience in the Internet of Things (IoT) sector or related technology fields is a plus. Familiarity with sales strategies that focus on building long-term relationships with clients will set you apart. You are data-driven and can leverage analytics to inform your sales strategies and decisions.
What you'll do
In this role, you will be responsible for driving sales of Samsara's IoT solutions to mid-sized customers. You will engage in the entire sales process, from prospecting to closing deals, with typical sales ranging from $20k to $100k. You will manage proof of concepts (POCs) and trials, ensuring that potential customers see the value of our solutions. Your role will involve negotiating pricing and terms with multiple stakeholders, requiring strong interpersonal skills and the ability to navigate complex organizational structures. You will work closely with the marketing and product teams to align sales strategies with product offerings and market needs. Regular travel of approximately 25% may be required to meet with clients and attend industry events.
