Job Description

Joining the Ignition Platform Engineering team, you will be at the forefront of IT service management delivery, collaborating across IT infrastructure and support services teams. You will be surrounded by people who are passionate about optimizing IT services and believe that world-class support is critical to customer success. You will work across all internal teams to drive tooling and process improvements to ensure high quality, fast resolution customer experience. Your mission is to develop a world-class customer experience and set new customer service standards in IT Delivery.

IPE is looking for experienced and dedicated team members to help manage the administration, support, and application development of the ServiceNow platform for our organization. The ideal candidate is innovative and has great problem-solving and analytical skills. You must be very comfortable and confident working on core application administration, creating workflows, data management, scripting and process automation. In this role you will be researching other tooling (1P and 3P) we anticipate integrating with to design scalable solutions. You will need to work with non-technical and technical teams to translate business cases to scalable solutions for multiple teams. In addition, you’ll need to be able to clearly and effectively communicate to larger non-technical audiences on system changes and enhancements. You will be working in a hyper-growth environment where priorities shift quickly. You must be flexible and adapt well to a wide range of tasks and technologies.


Key job responsibilities
The Application Development Engineer will contribute and provide leadership to the following core team areas of focus:

- Perform technical support, administration, and maintenance of ServiceNow across multiple modules.
- Support Mobile app development and sustainment.
- Develop integration paths for 1P and 3P systems we exchange data with.
- Partner with our product team to assess and refine demand requirements.
- Partner with cross functional teams to build enhancements and integrations that scale.
- Work with contract resources for both guidance and code reviews.
- Create ServiceNow workflows and business rules to support service improvements.
- Interface with ServiceNow for all operational requests / issues / planning.
- Lead ServiceNow release upgrades including technical and stakeholder management activities.
- Work closely with System Development Engineers to coordinate system updates, patches, and configuration changes.
- Provide user training and support related to ServiceNow processes, policies and procedures.
- Mentor team members on project planning, design, and estimating activities in ServiceNow IT Business Management.
- Experience in AWS technologies and architecture.
- Participate in the On-call rotation
- Bachelors degree in Information Technology, Management Information Systems, Computer Science, Business or equivalent work experience.
- Expert level JavaScript. (both client and server side)
- Familiarity with UI, SQL, HTML and CSS
- Certified ServiceNow Administrator (CSA) or other ServiceNow certification is required.
- 5+ years of direct experience with the ServiceNow platform as an administrator, developer and/or comparable role.
- 5+ years direct experience working with customers to understand requirements and implementing information technology solutions / initiatives.
- Ability to deep dive across multiple disciplines outside of ServiceNow.
- 2+ years experience in multiple areas of technology, including application administration, configuration, and/or data services.
- 3+ years experience with Agile scrum/Kanban methodology.
- Knowledge of XML and structural programming concepts
- Experience customizing or developing reports from data residing in relational databases.
- Experience with web service integrations using REST, SOAP, etc.
- ITIL Foundation certified or related experience preferred.
- Excellent written and verbal communications.
- Training and ATF experience.
- Mobile app development (stand alone Java application integrated into ServiceNow).
