Sr Program Manager, Devices Trade Compliance

Who you are

You have 5+ years of experience in program management, particularly in compliance or regulatory environments — you've successfully led initiatives that require a deep understanding of trade compliance and regulatory frameworks. Your strong analytical skills enable you to translate complex regulations into actionable operational programs that drive business growth.

You possess excellent communication skills — you can clearly articulate compliance risks and recommendations to senior stakeholders, ensuring that all parties are aligned and informed. Your ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Product, Hardware, Supply Chain, and Legal, is essential for embedding compliance requirements into product development processes.

You are detail-oriented and have a knack for building durable processes and controls — your experience in designing governance models and standard operating procedures (SOPs) will help you continuously improve compliance initiatives. You are also proficient in creating dashboards and monitoring mechanisms to track compliance status and risk indicators.

Your judgment in compliance matters is sound, and you understand the importance of maintaining high standards of accuracy and operational excellence — you thrive in environments where you can drive compliance programs that support dynamic product offerings.

Desirable

Experience with HS classification, ECCN/export classification, COO determinations, and FTA eligibility validation is a plus. Familiarity with global customs and regulatory regimes will enhance your ability to manage compliance effectively.

What you'll do

In this role, you will own and drive trade compliance programs for Amazon Devices, ensuring that products move seamlessly through global customs. You will lead end-to-end compliance initiatives that support the Product Development Process, focusing on building scalable operational programs that align with business growth.

You will partner with various teams to embed classification, COO, and FTA requirements into new product introductions and launch processes. Your role will involve designing and continuously improving governance models, SOPs, and controls to enhance compliance efforts.

You will build and maintain dashboards to monitor compliance status, launch readiness, and FTA utilization — your analytical skills will be crucial in tracking risk indicators and ensuring that compliance standards are met.

Your ability to communicate effectively will be key as you present compliance risks and tradeoffs to senior leadership, providing recommendations that support informed decision-making. You will also be responsible for fostering a culture of compliance within the organization, ensuring that all teams understand their roles in maintaining regulatory standards.
