Key job responsibilities
The Product Design Technical Program Manager will work closely with an internal inter-disciplinary team, and outside partners to drive key aspects of product definition, execution, test and delivery. You must be responsive, flexible and able to succeed within an open collaborative peer environment. Working within the Product Design (mechanical engineering) team, the PD TPM will be responsible for coordinating execution of the Lab126 Product Development Process, across multiple programs, for the device enclosure and package design developments of consumer electronics products. The PD TPM will work with the PD teams, HW Program Managers and Operations to ensure necessary process steps are planned and executed, and provide for smooth, reliable progress of programs against target schedules. In addition, you will provide support and coordination within the Process Engineering team to facilitate distribution and tracking of materials under test, returns failure assessment and response, and documentation of “lessons learned” during project developments. In this role, you will:
Drive the team to meet PDP (Product Development Process) requirements
Develop, maintain and manage task-based PD schedule
Provide risk management and schedule optimization analysis
Serve as the PD communication focal point with the Lab126 Core team, Overseas Partners and OEMs
Drive and track enclosure material readiness for Engineering builds
Manage BOM development and readiness
Support through coordination of resources across Process Engineering Team initiatives- 5+ years of working directly with engineering teams experience
- 5+ years of technical product or program management experience
- 5+ years of technical program management working directly with software engineering teams experience
- Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science or equivalent- 7+ years of project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management experience
- Experience managing projects across cross functional teams, building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedules
- Experience defining KPI's/SLA's used to drive multi-million dollar businesses and reporting to senior leadership
- Mechanical Engineering Degree and 5+ years of working directly with mechanical engineers

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $133,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $231,400/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
