Overview

SpaceX is hiring a Propulsion Technician to assemble and test rocket hardware. This role requires mechanical knowledge and hands-on experience in a manufacturing or automotive environment.

Job Description

Who you are

You possess a solid mechanical knowledge and have hands-on experience in a manufacturing, military, maintenance, or automotive environment. You are willing and able to learn, adapting to the dynamic nature of the propulsion technician role. You have a high school diploma or equivalency certificate and ideally have at least 1 year of relevant experience or a certificate from an accredited trade school or program.

What you'll do

As a propulsion technician, you will be responsible for the assembly and testing of rocket hardware and associated subassemblies. Your tasks will include cleaning tools, valves, and regulators while maintaining a professional and neat work area. You will stage, install, set up, test, and de-stage engines, troubleshooting engines and cell systems as needed. Operating test cell instrumentation and using computer network systems will be part of your daily responsibilities, as well as accepting or rejecting test units based on calculated test data and results. You will perform all work according to established procedures, specifications, and test instructions, ensuring safety and quality are always prioritized.
