SpaceX is hiring an Integration Technician for the Dragon spacecraft program. You'll be responsible for assembling, testing, and maintaining flight hardware using precision tools. This role requires hands-on experience and a strong mechanical background.
You are an entry-level Integration Technician with a passion for aerospace and a desire to contribute to the future of space exploration. You have experience working with precision calibrated tools such as torque wrenches, micrometers, and calipers, and you are comfortable performing maintenance tasks in a variety of roles. You can read and interpret blueprints and follow procedures, specifications, and test instructions accurately. You thrive in a collaborative environment, working closely with engineers to develop and document activities. You are detail-oriented and committed to ensuring the safety and quality of spacecraft processing.
In this role, you will stage, set up, assemble, test, and install flight hardware for the Dragon spacecraft. You will perform maintenance tasks as required for fluid systems and general facilities to maintain an operational spacecraft processing facility. You will collaborate with Dragon operations engineers to ensure that launch services are performed on time and safely. You will also be responsible for processing crew immediately prior to spaceflight and upon return to Earth, ensuring that all activities are conducted in a professional manner. Your hands-on operations will involve working with both large and small, fragile assemblies, and you will use various mechanical tools without instruction. You will also be involved in fabricating fluid systems from schematics or engineering drawings, contributing to the overall success of the Dragon program.
