Senior Network Engineer, Internet Protocol

Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 10 years of experience with network routing protocols, design, and troubleshooting, working with network equipment providers.
• 6 years of experience in Internet Protocol (IP) network Infrastructures and protocols.
• Experience in coding using Python in a networking environment.

Preferred qualifications:

• Certifications in Cisco Certified Internet work Expert/Cisco Certified Design Expert/Juniper Networks Certified Internet Expert (CCIE/CCDE/JNCIE) or equivalent experience.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $183,000-$271,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. • Create workflow, network monitoring or troubleshooting automation to improve the network.
• Debug complex issues and root cause incidents impacting the network and customers.
• Develop and help debug and mitigate risk profiles for network health and lead improvements in documentation, playbooks, and training for support organizations.
• Work with network design, deployment, and engineering teams to operationalize stable, scalable platforms.
• Create prototypes for problem solutions and extend software tools where required to minimize downtime of Google's networks.
