Job Description

At Amazon we're aiming to be the most customer-centric company on Earth. International Security and Loss Prevention is looking to hire an exceptional International Risk Manager. This role is key in our analytic efforts to turn data into actionable insights to supporting global strategy policy making, while scaling automation & self-service, and optimizing analytic infrastructure.

You should be enthusiastic about working with complex data, solving problems in a systematic manner, and collaborating with cross-functional teams in a progressive environment. You should have deep expertise building up & refining metrics framework to measure business operation and translating data into meaningful insights to support the business in managing risks. You should have solid business and communication skills to be able to work with business owners, understand complex business issues & opportunities, and guide data-focused decision into process & tool improvement. Above all, you should be enthusiastic about how insights can be used to ease strategic policy making decisions.

The candidate knows and loves working with business intelligence tools, can model multidimensional datasets, and can collaborate effectively with business leaders to answer key business questions. They will need to be comfortable with ambiguity in a ever-growing and ever-changing environment, and be able to guide project teams.

Successful attributes include effective communicator and leader of various levels and audiences, the capacity to remain flexible and adept at learning new tools, and the facility to implement new systems within a team atmosphere. Our environment is deadline focused and ever-growing and therefore requires detail-oriented candidates comfortable interacting or working with multiple teams (business and technical).

Key responsibilities includes but are not limited to:

• Support with the coordination of the Global Site Risk Assessment (GSRA) program to categorize GSO managed sites by risk level and impact likelihood.
• Provide support for the day to day use of the GSRA tool and act as a focal point for future enhancements.
• Coordinate the Site Risk Classification (SRC) process for International sites.
• Deliver and report key metrics to provide stakeholders situational awareness regarding GSRA and SRC.
• Assist with creating and continually improving the risk tools and processes used to measure and catalog security risks.
• Collaborate with S&LP International team members and business leaders from across the region, business and functional areas to obtain detailed information regarding risks.
• Perform data analysis of the effect of controls on risk profiles.
• Conduct regular follow-up to ensure timely implementation of recommendations (risk treatment plans) as well as collaboration and coordination with other support teams.
• Support with the development and management of the AuditBoard risk management solution.
• Conduct data gathering, checking, analysis, reporting and data quality assurance tasks with minimal supervision
• Coordinate with other S&LP teams to promote an intelligence-led and risk–based methodology.
• Engage with stakeholders (i.e. TERA and R&R risk managers) regarding threats, risk levels, mitigation strategies, and potential vulnerabilities to ensure alignment.
• Day-to-day management of the S&LP risk register, ensuring that key risks across the group are assessed, consolidated, reported, and considered with the S&LP strategy.
• Manipulating and interpreting risk-related data using risk information management software (RIMS)
• Quantifying the potential negative effects of risk-related activities
• Compiling reports, summaries, and presentations to communicate findings to key stakeholders within the business
• Collaborating with risk managers on reporting and evaluation techniques to support the ongoing collection and interpretation of risk management data.
• Work with business and S&LP teams to understand their risk exposure and suggest remediation and risk reduction options.
• Conduct regular risk reviews across Amazon businesses in International

A day in the life
As a Risk Analyst on the Risk Management team, you will join a team of professionals who support the Security and Loss Prevention team with translating threat identification into risk assessments, risk treatment plans, mitigation strategies, and escalation frameworks. To achieve this goal, you will assess known and new vulnerabilities, risks, and threats within Amazon International business operations. You will also collect, analyze, and disseminate forward-looking security risk information and analysis. You identify information and data gaps as well as create techniques and collection processes to close these gaps. You will manage the risk management system and create dashboards to visualize your results. Finally, you will complete actions that ensure team projects and programs are consistently improving on cost effectiveness.

About the team
Working in partnership with our stakeholders, Security and Loss Prevention secures the Amazon supply chain end-to-end and promotes security during business conversations. Sitting within Security and Loss Prevention, the Risk Management team does this by creating and maintaining risk frameworks to ensure continuation of our business, providing risk assessments, risk preparedness, contingency planning, and incident response as a service to business and operational Security and Loss Prevention teams. We provide strategic, tactical, and operational mechanisms by working closely with senior management and various other support teams in a global framework. We accomplish this through policies and standardized guidelines based on best practices, using technology to eliminate subjectivity, complexity, and variation, identifying, preparing for, and mitigating the impact of adverse events, and auditing our practices to ensure compliance and consistency.• Bachelors Degree
• 2+ Years of relevant experience with collecting, analyzing, and disseminating forward-looking information and analysis of security risks
• 2+ Years of relevant experience with risk management technology platforms (e.g., AuditBoard)
• Advanced proficiency in written and verbal English and Spanish
