Amazon is hiring an Engineering Operations Technician to maintain mission-critical technology infrastructure. You'll work with electrical and mechanical systems to ensure 99.999% uptime. This position requires hands-on troubleshooting skills and knowledge of data center operations.
You are an entry-level Engineering Technician with a strong foundation in electrical and mechanical systems. You have hands-on experience troubleshooting complex equipment and are eager to learn about data center operations. Your attention to detail ensures that you maintain high standards of uptime and reliability in mission-critical environments. You thrive in collaborative settings, working alongside diverse teams of engineers and specialists to solve challenging problems. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting various electrical and mechanical systems within Amazon's data centers. You will work with stand-by diesel generators, three-phase electrical systems, switch gear, UPSs, PDUs, and cooling systems to ensure optimal performance. Your expertise will help maintain the infrastructure that supports AWS services, contributing to an extraordinary uptime of 99.999%. You will collaborate with a team of engineers to identify and resolve issues, ensuring that all systems operate smoothly and efficiently. You will also participate in routine maintenance and inspections, documenting your findings and contributing to the overall safety and reliability of the facilities.
