Job Description

As a key member of the WWRR Planning team, you'll drive strategic initiatives that transform Amazon's returns management landscape. This role uniquely positions you at the intersection of customer experience, operational efficiency, and business growth. You'll have the opportunity to analyze the end-to-end reverse logistics supply chain, identifying substantial cost-saving opportunities while maintaining Amazon's customer-centric focus.

Working directly with senior leadership, you'll shape the future of returns management through data-driven decisions and innovative solutions. Your responsibilities will include collaborating with diverse stakeholders to identify, validate, and execute high-impact return reduction initiatives. The role requires deep analytical skills to translate complex operational data and customer behavior trends into actionable insights. You'll communicate these findings through clear, compelling narratives to influence senior leadership decisions.

Success in this role demands strategic thinking balanced with tactical excellence. You'll leverage your problem-solving abilities to navigate ambiguous business challenges, manage competing priorities, and build strong cross-functional partnerships. Key job responsibilities
- Strategic Initiative Leadership
Oversee the end-to-end development and execution of multiple high-impact programs across various business teams. This involves identifying and validating new opportunities through rigorous data analysis and stakeholder collaboration, while defining clear success metrics and tracking mechanisms.

- Analytics & Decision Making
Your role will require deep analytical expertise to uncover root causes of returns and quantify improvement opportunities. Critical to your success will be the ability to transform complex data into actionable insights, enabling data-driven decision making across the organization through clear, compelling analysis and communication.

- Stakeholder Management & Communication
A core aspect of this role involves building and maintaining strong relationships across multiple organizational levels. You'll partner closely with Technology, Product, Operations, and Business teams to drive solution development and implementation. Regular engagement with senior leadership through presentations and business reviews will be essential, as will leading cross-functional meetings and working sessions to align on priorities and execution plans.

- Program Management & Execution
Success in this role requires exceptional program management skills as you'll oversee multiple concurrent initiatives through various stages of development and implementation.

A day in the life
- Partner with business stakeholders to generate and validate return reduction opportunities
- Lead program management for multiple initiatives from ideation to implementation
- Conduct in-depth analysis of factors which impact returns
- Develop and present strategic recommendations to senior leadership
- Drive data-informed decision-making and build dashboards
- Build and maintain relationships with cross-functional partners

About the team
The WWRR Planning team within Returns & Re-commerce focuses on ways we can preserve and create customer value while increasing the velocity of Amazon's cost flywheel.

We are constantly innovating to create long-term value at Amazon by investing in the future and focusing on the planet, not just on the bottom line. WWRR includes business, product, program, operational, BIE and economist teams, who together manage the lifecycle of returned and damaged products.- 5+ years of program or project management experience
- Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership
- Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements
- Experience working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams
- SQL skills and experience- Master's degree, or MBA in business, operations, human resources, adult education, organizational development, instructional design or related field
- 2+ years of data visualization and reports tools experience

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $104,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
