Relativity is seeking a Senior Manager in Vehicle Structures Design Engineering to lead the design and testing of rocket structures. You'll work with AutoCAD and SolidWorks to ensure the integrity and performance of the Terran R vehicle. This role requires significant experience in mechanical engineering and design processes.
You have a strong background in mechanical engineering with at least 5 years of experience in design and analysis of complex structures. Your expertise in AutoCAD and SolidWorks allows you to create detailed designs and simulations that meet rigorous performance standards. You thrive in collaborative environments, working closely with cross-functional teams to solve challenging engineering problems. Your ability to communicate technical concepts clearly helps you engage with stakeholders at all levels, ensuring alignment on project goals and timelines. You are passionate about innovation and eager to contribute to groundbreaking projects in the aerospace industry. You understand the importance of testing and validation, and you have experience leading teams through the design, build, and test lifecycle of mechanical systems.

In this role, you will lead the Structures and Mechanisms team responsible for the design and testing of the Terran R vehicle's integrated structures. You will oversee the full design lifecycle, from initial concept through to production and testing. Your leadership will guide the team in developing innovative solutions that meet the demanding requirements of space launch systems. You will collaborate with propulsion, manufacturing, and software teams to ensure that all components work seamlessly together. Your hands-on approach will allow you to engage directly with hardware, providing insights that drive design improvements and operational efficiencies. You will also be responsible for mentoring junior engineers, fostering a culture of learning and growth within the team. Regularly, you will present your findings and recommendations to senior management, influencing key decisions that shape the future of the company.
