Key job responsibilities
As a Chip Design Engineer at Annapurna Labs (AWS), you’ll take ownership of real design blocks and drive their development through the full hardware lifecycle. Your responsibilities may include:

* Own microarchitecture definition and implement logic blocks and data paths
* RTL coding and debug using SystemVerilog and industry-standard tools
* Drive synthesis, timing analysis, and timing-closure activities to achieve high-performance, timing-clean designs
* Participate in design reviews, sign-off processes, and tapeout preparation
* Partner with Verification and Emulation teams on test plans, coverage reviews, and debug
* Ensure quality and reliability validation
* Cross-functional collaboration with Product Definition, Verification, Software, and Physical Design teams

You’ll own multiple stages of the chip development cycle - from architecture and coding to validation and production - while delivering hardware deployed at massive scale across the world’s largest cloud.

- 2+ years of hands-on experience in microarchitecture and RTL design (Verilog / SystemVerilog)
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Fluent English- Knowledge of scripting languages including Python and Tcl
- Experience collaborating with Verification teams
- Familiarity with industry-standard protocols such as AXI, PCIe, Networking, Encryption, or Storage
- Experience across the end-to-end chip development lifecycle, from design through validation and production
- Familiarity with UVM-based verification environments
