Amazon is seeking an Embedded Software Dev Engineer to develop embedded software for Customer Terminal devices within the Leo system. You'll work with languages such as C, C++, and Rust, and have expertise in Linux and RTOS. This position is based in Redmond, Washington.
You have a strong background in embedded software development, with experience in designing and deploying reliable software for consumer electronic products. You are proficient in programming languages such as C, C++, and Rust, and have a solid understanding of real-time embedded software philosophies and practices. Your expertise includes working with Linux and RTOS, and you are comfortable reviewing schematics and utilizing logic analyzers for troubleshooting embedded software. You are a U.S. citizen or permanent resident due to export control requirements.
Experience with assembly language and a passion for satellite technology would be a plus. Familiarity with the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and agile methodologies can enhance your fit for this role.
In this role, you will be responsible for developing embedded software for Customer Terminal devices within the Amazon Leo system. You will participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle, including requirements gathering, design, coding, testing, and ensuring code/test coverage. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative solutions that help close the digital divide by providing fast, affordable broadband to underserved communities. Your contributions will be integral to the success of the Leo initiative, as you help design and implement cutting-edge technology that impacts a wide range of customers.
