As a Software Development Engineer on our team, you'll build innovative solutions that redefine customer experiences and directly impact millions of customers worldwide.
Key job responsibilities
Design & Build scalable data-processing pipelines for TBs scale
Collaborate closely with research, machine learning and automation teams to develop new and support existing products
Experiment and shape the future of the biotech industry
Implement engineering excellence mechanisms like CI/CD pipelines, alarming and monitoring solutions, raise the bar on security and systems resilience
A day in the life
Our main data consumers and producers are science teams. You will work closely with scientists from various domains to clarify requirements, design new systems, upgrade existing services and provide operational support to mitigate issues. You work will largely comprise of working with data services and pipelines.

- 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language- 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $129,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $223,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
