Overview

AccuWeather is seeking a Graphic Designer Intern to support their design and marketing team. You'll gain hands-on experience creating visual assets for digital and print platforms while using industry-standard tools like Adobe Creative Suite and Figma. This internship is ideal for candidates currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Graphic Design or a related field.

Who you are

You are a creative and detail-oriented individual currently pursuing or recently completing a degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, or a related field. You possess basic proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign, with Figma being a plus. Your strong visual sense and typography awareness are complemented by your attention to detail. You have the ability to take direction and apply feedback effectively, showcasing good time management skills that allow you to juggle multiple tasks. Strong communication and collaboration skills are essential, as you will be working closely with designers, marketers, and other team members.

Desirable

You may have preferred qualifications such as experience in motion graphics or video editing using After Effects and Premiere Pro. Skills in illustration or photography would also be beneficial, along with familiarity with social media or digital marketing.

What you'll do

In this internship, you will assist in the creation of visual assets for both digital and print platforms, supporting various design projects including social media graphics, presentations, ads, emails, and marketing collateral. You will help maintain brand consistency across all creative materials and collaborate with designers, marketers, and other team members on concepts and executions. Your role will involve preparing files for production and assisting with revisions based on feedback, ensuring that all design assets and files are organized and managed effectively. Staying up to date on design trends and visual inspiration will be part of your responsibilities, allowing you to contribute fresh ideas to the team.
