Google is seeking a Software Engineer II for their Cloud Networking team to design and develop user-facing networking products. You'll work with programming languages like Java, Python, and C++. This position requires 1 year of experience in software development.
You have a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience and at least 1 year of experience with software development in one or more programming languages such as Python, C, C++, Java, or JavaScript. You possess a solid understanding of data structures and algorithms, and have experience building and developing large-scale infrastructure or distributed systems. Your background includes experience with distributed systems, networking, or cloud infrastructure, particularly in Java. You are versatile and enthusiastic about tackling new problems across the full-stack as technology continues to evolve.
As a Software Engineer II in Cloud Networking at Google, you will be responsible for designing and developing user-facing networking products that are part of Google Compute Engine (GCE) APIs. You will work on critical projects that require innovative solutions to handle information at massive scale. Your role will involve building control planes for user-facing networking features and products, defining API interfaces for end users, and orchestrating programming of all networking control plane infrastructure. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that the products meet the high standards expected at Google, and you will have opportunities to switch teams and projects as the business grows and evolves.
