You have a strong background in VAT compliance and tax management, with a focus on local and international regulations. Your experience includes preparing and submitting VAT returns, managing audits, and communicating with tax authorities. You stay updated on VAT regulations and ensure that company practices align with legal requirements. You possess excellent advisory skills, providing guidance to leadership and finance teams on VAT implications for transactions and contracts. Your ability to assess cross-border transactions and advise on VAT structuring to reduce liability is a key strength. You are also skilled in process optimization, developing robust VAT compliance processes and collaborating with finance and operations teams to enhance VAT handling systems. You enjoy educating internal teams on VAT compliance requirements and best practices, providing training on VAT changes and risks.
In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring accurate preparation, review, and submission of VAT returns, EC Sales Lists, and Intrastat reports. You will manage VAT audits and maintain timely communication with tax authorities to resolve any issues. Your advisory role will involve providing VAT guidance to various teams, assessing the VAT implications of transactions, and ensuring proper treatment for both domestic and international activities. You will develop and implement VAT compliance processes and policies, working closely with finance and accounting teams to identify opportunities for savings and efficiencies. Additionally, you will educate internal teams on VAT compliance requirements and conduct periodic training sessions to keep everyone informed about VAT changes and risks.
