SpaceX is seeking a Quality Inspector for the Falcon program to conduct detailed inspections on electrical and mechanical assemblies. This role requires 2+ years of inspection experience in aerospace or manufacturing environments.
You have a high school diploma or equivalency certificate and at least 2 years of inspection experience in an aerospace, aviation, military, or manufacturing environment. You are self-motivated and proactive, capable of managing priorities and tasks as delegated. Your experience includes working with aerospace propulsion assembly installation and testing processes and procedures, and you are familiar with material review board and root cause/corrective action systems. You possess strong communication skills to effectively document and resolve quality-related issues.
A degree in a technical or engineering field is preferred, as it enhances your understanding of the technical aspects of the role. You have a keen eye for detail and a commitment to quality, which drives you to pursue continual improvement and lean manufacturing initiatives. Your ability to assess compliance with company and industry standards is crucial in maintaining high-quality production processes.
As a Quality Inspector at SpaceX, you will provide detailed in-process inspections on electrical and mechanical assemblies, utilizing detailed drawings and CAD models to verify conformance to design requirements. You will identify, document, and resolve production and test anomalies in accordance with prescribed procedures, ensuring that corrective actions are pursued as required. Your role will involve communicating and helping to resolve quality-related issues within the propulsion assembly department, contributing to a culture of quality and excellence. You will document production non-conformances as required and support quality management system policies and procedure documentation. Your efforts will help assess compliance with company and industry standards, and you will initiate and lead continual improvement initiatives to enhance production quality.
