Amazon is hiring an AI Research Engineer to support the development of multimodal large-language foundational models. You'll leverage machine learning techniques and work with large-scale computing resources. This role requires a strong hands-on background in machine learning.
You have a strong hands-on machine learning background and are excited about the potential of Artificial General Intelligence (AGI). Your experience includes developing novel algorithms and modeling techniques that advance the state of the art in machine learning. You thrive in collaborative environments and have a track record of success in delivering new features and products. Your technical expertise is complemented by a solid understanding of the fundamentals of Computer Science, and you have practical experience building large-scale distributed systems. You are committed to teamwork and possess strong communication skills, enabling you to effectively engage with both business and technical partners.
Experience with multimodal large-language models (LLMs) and Generative Artificial Intelligence (Gen AI) is a plus. You are passionate about new opportunities and have a keen interest in leveraging heterogeneous data sources to drive innovation. A background in system architecture and best practices for quality infrastructure will set you apart.
As a Research Engineer on the AGI team, you will support the development of industry-leading multimodal large-language foundational models. Your responsibilities will include advancing the state of the art by developing novel algorithms and modeling techniques. You will leverage Amazon’s large-scale computing resources to accelerate development and drive the system architecture. Your work will directly impact customers, and you will help scale pre and post-training workflows to build efficient models. You will also spearhead best practices that enable a quality infrastructure, ensuring that the products you create are reliable, scalable, and high-performing.
