Job Description

Who you are

You have a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field, along with 8 years of experience in foundry design kits bring-up, SPICE simulations, and signal/power analysis with advanced CMOS FinFET nodes. Your expertise extends to semiconductor/device engineering, process development, and electrical characterization of devices and circuits. A Master's degree or PhD in Electrical Engineering or Physics with a focus on semiconductor materials or device physics is preferred, showcasing your deep understanding of the field.

Your experience includes SoC chip physical implementation, and you possess a solid understanding of both analog and digital circuits, such as PLLs, High Speed IO, cache, and standard cell libraries in advanced CMOS FinFET nodes. You thrive in environments where computational challenges are complex and unique, and you are driven to create custom hardware solutions that meet these challenges.

What you'll do

As a CMOS Technologist and Foundry Engineer at Google, you will be part of a dynamic chip design team responsible for driving partnerships with CMOS foundry partners. Your role will involve collaborating with chip implementation and physical design teams to navigate micro-architecture tradeoffs, ensuring that all physical implementation details are addressed leading up to product tapeout. You will also engage with commercial and product teams on Foundry and IP vendor management, tracking technology roadmaps, and determining appropriate technology and IP integration strategies.

You will design and build systems that are integral to Google's powerful computing infrastructure, developing from the lowest levels of circuit design to large system design. Your work will have a significant impact on the machinery that powers Google's cutting-edge data centers, affecting millions of users worldwide. You will support design tool flow bring-up and work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project outcomes.

What we offer
