Zoox is seeking a Platform Engineer to join their Systems Reliability and Stability team. You'll be responsible for the upkeep, design, and maintenance of engineering services, ensuring high uptime and stability of robot testing platforms.
You are a highly motivated and energetic individual with a strong background in engineering services. You possess a keen analytical mindset, allowing you to measure and improve the stability, accuracy, and usability of engineering services. Experience with hardware in the loop (HIL) testing or similar methodologies would be a plus. Familiarity with software development practices and testing frameworks can further enhance your contributions to the team. A background in systems engineering or reliability engineering is also desirable, as it aligns with the goals of the Systems Reliability and Stability team.
As a Platform Engineer at Zoox, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the high uptime of robot testing platforms. You will be responsible for the design, upkeep, and maintenance of various engineering services that support the testing environment. Collaborating with other teams, you will aid in the adoption of the testing framework, ensuring it meets the needs of different stakeholders.
Your responsibilities will include overseeing the testing environment, focusing on improving its reliability and feature set. You will work closely with the SW HIL team to develop and maintain key tests that exercise the functionality of the testing framework. Your efforts will directly contribute to the overall stability and performance of the systems being tested.
You will also engage in continuous improvement initiatives, measuring the effectiveness of the testing platforms and implementing changes as necessary. Your role will require you to stay updated on industry best practices and emerging technologies, ensuring that Zoox remains at the forefront of innovation in robotics testing.
