You have extensive experience in accounts payable, ideally with a background in leading teams and managing financial processes. You are a strong communicator who can effectively guide and mentor your team while ensuring compliance with company policies. You thrive in a hands-on role, where you can assist with data entry and provide oversight to ensure timely processing of invoices and payments. You are a problem solver who is comfortable challenging the status quo to improve and scale the accounts payable function. You have a proven track record of managing vendor relationships and supporting financial close activities, demonstrating your ability to work collaboratively with finance and treasury teams.

What you'll do

As the Accounts Payable Lead at Cognism, you will take charge of the accounts payable shared service function, ensuring that all processes are efficient and compliant. You will lead a small team, providing daily guidance and oversight while also being involved in the hands-on processing of payables. Your role will involve collaborating closely with in-country accountants in Germany and Croatia, ensuring that all payables are processed accurately and on time. You will also be responsible for managing vendor relationships, ensuring that all communications are clear and effective. Supporting month-end and year-end financial close activities will be a key part of your responsibilities, as you work to ensure that all financial data is accurate and up to date. You will contribute to the continuous improvement of accounts payable processes, identifying areas for enhancement and implementing best practices.
