Job Description

OpsTech Solutions organization, with an unparalleled scope, is part of the Amazon’s WW Operations & Robotics team. We design, deploy and support IT infrastructure, devices and Services across Amazon’s Global Fulfillment Centers, Transportation (Middle Mile, Last Mile & Logistics), and Specialty Customer Solutions (Amazon Fresh, Prime Now, Lockers, Pantry, Campus, and Prime Air). Our customers range from Amazon lockers to Amazon’s Air Hubs.

We are seeking a seasoned Principal Solution Architect driving the design and implementation of scalable, high-performance, and secure systems on the AWS platform. You are the technical visionaries who translate complex business requirements into innovative cloud-native solutions, leveraging the full spectrum of AWS services and best practices. You build credibility through deep understanding of both the customer's business challenges and the OTS ecosystem. You collaborate closely with stakeholders to architect solutions that optimize for performance, cost-efficiency, and operational excellence, adhering to the AWS Well-Architected Framework.

Experienced candidates for this role will possess:
- Proficiency in cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and their data services.
- Experience with Cloud(AWS, Azure etc) services like S3, Redshift, EMR, Kinesis and RDS for AWS.
- Experience with Big Data Technologies (Hadoop, Hive, Hbase, Pig, Spark, etc.).
- Expertise in distributed systems as it pertains to data storage and computing.
- Exemplary hands-on practitioner and lead by example.
- Expertise in designing and implementing scalable, performant, and industry-standard data architectures.
- Expertise in implementing secure and compliant data sharing mechanisms. This expertise is essential for ensuring the secure and compliant handling of data, enabling controlled data access and collaboration with external partners and stakeholders.
- Understanding of data governance principles, including data lineage, data cataloging, and metadata management.
- Understanding in data quality assurance techniques, including data profiling, data cleansing, and data validation.



Key job responsibilities
- Ensure success in designing, building and migrating applications, software, and services with AWS
- Interact with customers directly to understand their business problems and help them implement scalable and resilient systems.
- Educate customers on the value proposition of OTS ecosystem and showcase the art of possible.
- Drive deep architectural discussions and design exercises to create solutions built on cloud services
- Author and contribute to OTS customer-facing publications such as whitepapers, workshops, demos and proof of concepts.
- Build deep relationships with customer engineering, product, and science leaders.
- Capture and share best-practice knowledge across internal Amazon builders and the WWops solutions architect community.

If you’re passionate about this role and want to make an impact on a global scale, please apply!- 5+ years of specific technology domain areas (e.g. software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics) experience
- 3+ years of design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures experience
- 6+ years of IT development or implementation/consulting in the software or Internet industries experience- 5+ years of infrastructure architecture, database architecture and networking experience
- Knowledge of SAP systems (like SAP Business Suite, S/4HANA, SAP Business Warehouse, SAP HANA, SAP Business Objects, etc.) and their architecture and infrastructure needs
- Experience working with end user or developer communities
