Business Analytics Manager, YouTube, Trust and Safety

Who you are

You have a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Math, Quantitative Science, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience. With 9 years of experience in statistical problem-solving and analyzing data sets using SQL or comparable coding languages like Python, R, Java, or C++, you are well-equipped for this role. Your background includes working in data analytics, consulting, data science, engineering, or a technical operations role, and you have at least 2 years of experience managing a team. A Master's degree in a quantitative field such as Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or Data Science is preferred. You have experience in trust and safety, collecting, managing, and synthesizing large data sets from disparate sources, and are skilled in statistical modeling, data mining, and data analysis. Your consultative problem-solving skills and project management experience are complemented by your ability to analyze metrics, design experiments, and automate processes. You have a proven track record of scaling and developing an analytics or business intelligence team in a high-growth environment and influencing executive leadership on investigative decision-making. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, along with effective attention to detail, are part of your skill set.

What you'll do

In this role, you will help deliver on YouTube’s mission to give everyone a voice, show them the world, and build a community. Your expertise will be critical in upholding the transparency mandate for YouTube Trust and Safety and crafting the best narrative for executives and the outside world. As a Business Analytics Manager, you will manage and develop a team of business analysts, supporting them in creating and deploying scaled solutions that range from statistical measurements to experimentation and insight platforms, as well as externalized data and reporting pipelines. You will collaborate closely with various cross-functional stakeholders and act as a thought partner to EMEA operations leadership across multiple verticals. Your role will involve overseeing the collection and analysis of data to inform strategic decisions, ensuring that your team is equipped to handle complex data challenges and deliver actionable insights.
