You have a strong background in engineering management with experience leading teams in cloud infrastructure and CI/CD practices — you understand the intricacies of building scalable platforms and have a knack for fostering team collaboration. You are technically involved and lead by example, diving deep into problem-solving alongside your engineers. Your ability to provide constructive feedback and make technical recommendations is key to your leadership style. You are passionate about building great teams and delivering exceptional products, ensuring that your engineering squad thrives in a supportive environment.
You have experience working with security protocols and compliance, particularly SOC2 controls — you understand the importance of maintaining security standards while developing cloud infrastructure. Your technical expertise allows you to guide your team in implementing best practices and improving performance across new and existing features. You are comfortable working cross-functionally with other leaders to shape the vision of the organization and ensure alignment with the overall goals of Fieldwire.
Experience with data engineering and managing cloud infrastructure scanning tools is a plus — you are familiar with the latest frameworks and tools that can enhance the performance and reliability of the platform. You have a proactive approach to identifying areas for improvement and are always looking for ways to keep the platform up to date with industry standards.
As the Engineering Manager of the Platform team, you will lead a group of 5 engineers responsible for designing and building the cloud infrastructure needed to run Fieldwire's distributed SaaS application. You will work closely with the security team on SOC2 audits, implementing necessary controls and managing cloud infrastructure scanning tools. Your role will involve maintaining and improving the performance of both new and existing features, ensuring that the platform remains robust and efficient.
You will represent your team internally, advocating for their needs and collaborating with other leaders to align on the vision for Fieldwire. Your leadership will be crucial in animating the life of your engineering squad, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence. You will be responsible for guiding your team through technical challenges, providing mentorship, and facilitating their professional growth.
In this role, you will also be tasked with keeping the platform up to date with the latest stable frameworks and tools — you will encourage your team to explore new technologies and methodologies that can enhance their work. Your ability to balance technical leadership with team management will be essential in driving the success of the Platform team.
Fieldwire offers a collaborative and inclusive work environment where you can make a significant impact on the construction management platform used globally. You will have the opportunity to work with a talented team of engineers and contribute to projects that are already making a difference in over 1 million projects worldwide. We encourage you to apply even if your experience doesn't match every requirement — your passion for technology and leadership is what matters most. Join us in shaping the future of construction management.
