Astranis is hiring a Senior Machinist/Programmer to support the assembly and debugging of advanced satellite systems. You'll work with Altium Designer and AutoCAD to ensure high-quality production. This role requires extensive experience in PCB assembly and debugging.
You have significant experience in machining and programming, particularly in the context of printed circuit board assembly (PCBA). Your background includes working with IPC-610 Class 2/3 standards, ensuring that all components meet rigorous quality requirements. You are skilled in applying, removing, and reworking conformal coatings and polymeric adhesives, demonstrating your attention to detail and commitment to quality. You thrive in collaborative environments, working closely with cross-functional engineering teams to support new product development and resolve issues as they arise. Your technical expertise is complemented by strong problem-solving skills, allowing you to debug complex systems effectively. You are a resident of the United States or another protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3).
In this role, you will be responsible for reworking, assembling, and debugging PCBAs, ensuring that all products meet the high standards set by Astranis. You will inspect incoming boards to IPC-610 Class 2/3 standards, applying your knowledge to maintain quality control throughout the production process. You will lead the forming of components to match engineering footprints and drawings, collaborating with engineers to ensure that all specifications are met.
