Overview

Teya is seeking a Business Development Executive to join their commercial team in Birmingham. You'll be responsible for identifying potential customers and building relationships to support small businesses. This role requires strong interpersonal skills and a proactive approach to customer engagement.

Job Description

Who you are

You have a proven track record in business development or sales, ideally within the technology or financial services sector. You excel at identifying potential customers and have experience in cold outreach, networking, and building relationships. Your ability to engage with clients in-person allows you to understand their challenges and establish trust. You are passionate about supporting small, local businesses and believe in creating a level playing field for them against larger competitors. You thrive in a high-energy environment and are committed to continuous learning and personal development.

What you'll do

In this role, you will proactively identify potential customers within your defined territory through various outreach methods. You will engage with existing and potential customers in-person to understand their challenges and build rapport. Your responsibilities will include developing and executing strategies to drive customer acquisition and retention, as well as collaborating with internal teams to ensure customer satisfaction. You will also be expected to represent Teya at industry events and networking opportunities, showcasing our mission and services to potential clients.
