Job Description

The Manufacturing Engineer will be a key member of the product development team working with the team to ramp up and monitor the manufacturing process at our HW manufacturing partners. The successful candidate will engage and support manufacturing at our partners. The successful candidate will co-work with our NPI and QnR teams, in order to drive manufacturing processes, facilitate better understanding of what are the issues & status at the manufacturing line, while at the same time provide check & balance to these teams` goals in order to streamline our manufacturing to meet our customers` demands.

Key job responsibilities
* Frequently onsite supplier site to provide guidance on Mfg process flow, DOE, and regular quality audit.
* Lead problem resolution and failure analysis with manufacturing partner and sub-tier component suppliers by utilizing DOE, data analysis.
* Bring up the supplier’s quality inspection capability, 100% inline quality inspection without affecting capacity throughput.
* Develop quality control parameter for the part/spec which is newly introduced or custom made.
* Provide engineering insight into both Mfg process and assembly fixture designs to improve quality and reliability to the product but not affecting capacity throughput.
* Work with manufacturing partner to develop and optimize testing jig, monitoring the yield rate and root causing for the low testing yield jig.
* Work closely with a cross functional team from the supplier in build readiness, process validation, solve complex design, manufacturing, testing issues to meet quality goal and project timing.
* Bridge the gap between internal and external partner by supporting sustaining production as well as new product development - BS in mechanical engineering or a related technical field
- 3+ years of experience in a related engineering field
- Experience in printed circuit boards (PCB) assembly, including solder paste, chip mounting, reflow soldering, advanced heat sink mounting.
- Experience in PCB inspection and metrology including optical, Lasers, X-ray, 3D
- Experience in automatic assembly process
- Experience with signal integrity and power integrity measurement techniques,
- Experience in process characterization and validation using statistical tools and Design of Experiments.
- Experience with design for manufacturability, design for automation, and creating process documentation from scratch
- Experience with failure analysis techniques to evaluate production, supplier and field failures to drive root cause analysis and resolution.
- Experience in integration of production testing infrastructure and deployment of production test suites
- Experience working with International ODM and CM Partners- Experience with distributed systems at scale
- Ability to work independently and ensure timely and accurate communication between the Annapurna Labs and our JDM/OEM partners
- Experience in liquid cooling designs
- Experience in high power designs
- Good understanding of manufacturing strategy and DFMA best practices
- Experienced with CAD software
- Experience with Statistical Analysis Software
- Mechanically inclined, strong problem-solving skills, hands-on individual
- Excellent oral and written communication skills; capable of interfacing at all levels of a business from equipment operators to platform VP
