Job Description

Are you passionate about pioneering the future of human-robot interaction? Are you skilled at electrical engineering with a vision to innovate and refine complex robotic systems?

We are on the lookout for a talented Electrical Engineer to join in the electrical design, integration, and debugging of multi-system robots. This role offers a unique opportunity to collaborate in the development of advanced electrical systems and evaluate cutting-edge technologies that will shape the future of our organization. You will be working closely with a dedicated team to bring our electrical designs from prototype to production, ensuring our robots can seamlessly integrate into human environments.

Join our journey at Collaborative Robotics, a visionary team dedicated to reimagining the integration of robots as trusted extensions of our daily lives, working and adapting in harmony with human surroundings.

This role is located onsite at our Santa Clara, CA headquarters.

This is a full time, 3-month (12-week) internship running June–August 2026.

The application deadline for this role is January 11th, 2026. Interviews will take place mid-late January 2026.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive electrical design and integration for our innovative multi-system robots, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.

  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional engineering teams, including mechanical, thermal, software, firmware, and manufacturing, to debug and refine full system designs.

  • Drive the development of testing and validation methodologies to guarantee the efficacy and safety of our electrical systems.

  • Engage with partner engineering teams to streamline the electrical design process, from component selection to PCB layout and system bring-up.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering.

  • Experience in debugging and testing electrical designs, with an understanding of hardware design principles including Signal Integrity and Power Integrity.

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative, and dynamic start-up environment.

  • Must have and maintain US work authorization.

  • Must be willing and able to start work in Summer 2026.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in component selection, schematic capture, and custom PCB layout design.

  • Skilled in system architecture, requirements definition, and system analysis.

  • Background in designing electromechanical systems.

  • Capable of developing and executing electrical bring-up and validation plans.

The non-exempt hourly range for this intern position is $30-$35/hr. Our ranges are determined by role and experience level. The range reflects the minimum and maximum target for intern rates for the position in Santa Clara, CA. Within the range, individual pay is determined by additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
