SugarCRM is hiring a Senior Manager for Revenue Accounting and Accounts Receivable to lead global operations including revenue recognition and reporting. You'll collaborate with various teams to ensure accurate revenue processes. This role requires strong technical accounting expertise and leadership experience.
You have over 5 years of experience in revenue accounting and accounts receivable, demonstrating a strong understanding of ASC 606 and its application in a global context. Your technical accounting expertise is complemented by operational discipline, allowing you to manage complex financial processes effectively. You thrive in collaborative environments, working cross-functionally with teams such as Sales, FP&A, and Legal to ensure seamless operations. Your leadership style is hands-on, and you have experience managing distributed teams, fostering a culture of accountability and excellence.
You are detail-oriented and possess strong analytical skills, enabling you to identify and resolve issues related to revenue recognition and cash collection. Your ability to communicate complex financial concepts clearly to non-financial stakeholders sets you apart. You are adaptable and can navigate the challenges of a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment, ensuring that your team meets its objectives while maintaining high standards of accuracy and compliance.
Experience with CRM software and its financial implications is a plus. Familiarity with billing and collections processes will enhance your ability to lead the team effectively. A background in technology companies or SaaS environments will provide valuable insights into the unique challenges faced in revenue accounting.
In this role, you will lead the global revenue accounting and accounts receivable operations at SugarCRM. You will oversee revenue recognition and reporting under ASC 606, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and internal policies. Your responsibilities will include managing the billing and collections processes, optimizing cash collection strategies, and enhancing the order-to-cash cycle for scalability and efficiency.
You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including Sales, Deal Desk, FP&A, Legal, Tax, and Order Management, to ensure accurate revenue recognition and efficient cash collection. Your leadership will guide the team in implementing best practices and continuous improvement initiatives, fostering a culture of collaboration and high performance.
As a Senior Manager, you will also be responsible for mentoring and developing your team members, providing them with the support and resources they need to succeed. You will play a key role in strategic planning and decision-making, contributing to the overall financial health of the organization.
