Job Description

As a Product Owner of the VestmarkONE application, you will work with internal and external stakeholders to capture business requirements, collaborate with subject matter experts, evaluate the scope of engineering required to provide a solution, and prioritize the backlog to maximize the business value delivered by the team.  This role requires superb communication skills and a passion for solving problems.  If you are a Product Owner or Product Manager with 5+ years of experience, particularly within the financial services industry, we encourage you to apply for this role. This position is expected to be Hybrid and based in our headquarters in Wakefield, MA. 

Responsibilities:

  • Lead of an engineering team as the Product Owner
  • Elicit functional requirements through discussions with clients, prospects, and internal stakeholders.
  • Work with clients and internal stakeholders to develop user stories to meet requirements
  • Provide input to Product Management and other stakeholders as part of defining a minimal viable product
  • Provide subject matter expertise for the engineering team to understand the requirements and scope of work
  • Collaborate with Product Management and the engineering team to maintain a ready, product feature backlog prioritized according to business value
  • Present functional requirements and proposed solutions to internal and external stakeholders
  • Support the successful delivery of enhancements throughout the product lifecycle

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
  • 5+ years of experience as a Product Owner or Business Analyst with knowledge of Agile process and principles
  • Financial services industry experience (specifically in portfolio management, trading or back office) is highly preferred
  • An excellent skillset involving communication, writing, presentation, organizational and time management
  • A sharp analytical mindset with high degree of problem-solving initiative
  • Ability to handle changes of priorities and multiple projects at once
  • Familiarity with the basics of XML, REST, and SQL
  • Familiarity with Amazon OP1, including O1 plans and investment check documents

Vestmark takes a market-based approach to compensation to ensure we pay fairly and competitively. Compensation for this role depends on several factors such as skills, experience, qualifications, job scope and location.

In addition to base salary, Vestmark offers a comprehensive total rewards package, which includes equity-based grants for all new hires, company-paid medical premiums of 90%, a competitive time-off program, and other variable compensation, if eligible.

Salary range
$110,000—$135,000 USD
