You have a solid background in software development, with experience in building and maintaining APIs and services that prioritize user privacy. You understand the importance of compliance with privacy regulations and have a knack for writing clean, efficient, and well-tested code. Your collaborative spirit shines through as you engage in code reviews and technical discussions with your team. You are comfortable tackling challenging technical problems and enjoy mentoring junior engineers, sharing your knowledge of both traditional and AI-powered development practices.
Experience with distributed systems and microservices is a plus, as is familiarity with privacy-centric technologies. You are eager to contribute to a team that values creativity and innovation in the advertising space.
As a Software Development Engineer II, you will play a crucial role in the Privacy & Customer Trust (PACT) team at Amazon. Your primary responsibility will be to develop and maintain privacy-focused services and APIs that enhance the advertising experience for users. You will implement customer consent management features and ensure that all solutions comply with relevant privacy regulations. Your day-to-day tasks will involve writing high-performance code, participating in code reviews, and collaborating closely with your team to devise technical solutions that meet the evolving needs of the business.

This includes developing robust fallback mechanisms to ensure service reliability.
