Principal AI Platform Engineer

Who you are

You have extensive experience building and maintaining AI platform infrastructure, particularly with Kubernetes and container security. Your expertise in observability and monitoring frameworks, especially with a focus on real-time performance, sets you apart. You are familiar with AI infrastructure components such as vector databases and prompt/versioning stores, and you have a strong understanding of authentication and authorization frameworks integrated into AI platforms. You thrive in collaborative environments, working closely with product and engineering teams to deliver impactful solutions. You are also comfortable with CI/CD pipelines and automation for AI model deployment and platform operations.

Desirable

Familiarity with frameworks like vLLM or SGLang for hosting LLM inference workloads would be a plus. You have a keen interest in developing secure access controls and authentication mechanisms that are integrated by default into AI platform components. Your ability to optimize infrastructure for scalability, high availability, and cost efficiency for production workloads is essential for success in this role.

What you'll do

As the Principal AI Platform Engineer, you will design, build, and maintain the core infrastructure layer supporting generative AI products. This includes developing model gateways, prompt/versioning stores, vector databases, and LLM evaluation tools. You will implement secure access controls and authentication mechanisms that are integrated by default into the AI platform components. Your role will also involve developing and managing observability, monitoring, and logging solutions for GenAI workloads and infrastructure. You will collaborate closely with product and engineering teams to integrate GenAI infrastructure with agent frameworks and downstream applications. Additionally, you will optimize infrastructure for scalability, high availability, and cost efficiency for production workloads, ensuring that the AI solutions are safe and impactful.
