We're looking for an enthusiastic Technical Designer to join our private brands team. This role is ideal for someone with fashion experience, technical expertise, and an eye for detail.
Key job responsibilities
• Create and review tech packs to ensure comprehensive and clear information is provided to domestic and overseas factories
• Knowledge of silhouettes, fabrication, sewing techniques, trim and construction
• Follow T&A calendar to help fit styles
• Oversee fittings: update tech packs and technical sheets
• Liaise with production team to review fit comments and finishings specifications
• Work with patternmakers, development teams to obtain accuracy for finishings and trims
• Create technical drawings based on samples or pictures
• Create and / or maintain fit guides measurements and silhouette integrity per garment category
• Work with production team to arrange QC inspections at warehouse as needed
• Evaluate samples for measurement, fit, construction accuracy and quality according to Brand standards
• Transcript the finishing details of each piece on a technical sheet
• Work with Fabric R&D team, production, and factories to re-engineer any artworks necessary from sampling to production
- 3+ years of design experience
- Have an available online portfolio
- Experience working with agile development teams (agile/scrum/kanban)
- Experience in Adobe Creative Suit applications, with high proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, and Acrobat using macOS
- Bachelor's degree- Experience with e-commerce, search, social, and other major application types and their UX patterns
- Experience creating services and applications with multiple user touch points on different platforms and devices

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $108,400/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
