Neuralink is seeking a UI Design Engineer to conceptualize and prototype innovative computing interfaces for brain-computer interaction. You'll collaborate with experts across disciplines and utilize tools like Figma. This role requires experience in UI design and a passion for exploring new interaction mediums.
You have a strong background in UI design, with experience in creating intuitive and engaging interfaces. You possess a passion for exploring multi-disciplinary design challenges, particularly in the context of brain-computer interfaces. Your ability to conceptualize and prototype novel computing interfaces is complemented by your collaborative spirit, as you work closely with domain experts to navigate complex design constraints. You have an intuitive sense for the appropriate level of fidelity in your designs, whether it be a rough sketch or a high-fidelity prototype. You are excited about the opportunity to push the boundaries of interaction design in a new medium that lacks traditional sensory feedback.
Experience with user testing and feedback loops is a plus, as is familiarity with neuroscience or machine learning principles. A portfolio showcasing your design process and outcomes will help demonstrate your capabilities.
In this role, you will conceptualize and prototype user interfaces for Telepathy.app, a software that enables individuals with paralysis to interact with computing devices through thought. You will collaborate with engineers and neuroscientists to understand the unique constraints of brain-computer interaction and design interfaces that are both functional and user-friendly. Your work will involve creating wireframes, mockups, and interactive prototypes that effectively communicate your design ideas. You will also participate in user testing to gather feedback and iterate on your designs, ensuring that the final product meets the needs of its users. As part of the BCI Applications Team, you will contribute to a groundbreaking project that aims to revolutionize how humans interact with technology.
Neuralink provides a supportive work environment with excellent medical, dental, and vision insurance. You will have access to paid holidays, commuter benefits, and meals provided at the office. We also offer equity in the company and a 401(k) plan, along with flexible time off to promote work-life balance. Join us in our mission to create transformative technology that can change lives.
