Overview
Celigo is seeking a Staff Accountant to manage end-to-end accounting processes and ensure compliance with India GAAP, GST, and TDS. You'll work with ERP systems like NetSuite and utilize advanced Excel skills. This position requires a minimum of 4 years of corporate accounting experience.
Job Description
Who you are
You are an ambitious and detail-oriented accountant with a strong expertise in India statutory accounting. With a minimum of 4 years of experience in corporate accounting, you possess deep knowledge of India GAAP, GST, and TDS. You thrive in a fast-paced environment and have hands-on experience managing end-to-end accounting processes. Your strong experience with statutory filings, reconciliations, and responding to government notices sets you apart. You are highly system-savvy and have advanced Excel skills, including formulas, pivots, and lookups. Exposure to SQL is an advantage, and familiarity with ERP systems, particularly NetSuite, is preferred. You also have experience with payroll inputs, G/L month-end close, and financial consolidations. Your excellent communication skills enable you to work effectively across teams and levels, while your strong organizational skills help you prioritize and meet deadlines in a high-growth environment. Familiarity with CSR calculations, transfer pricing, and audit support is a plus.
What you'll do
In this role, you will lead month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, and schedules. You will maintain balance sheet reconciliations and ensure the integrity of financial data. Your responsibilities will also include preparing financial statements and reports in compliance with statutory requirements. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline accounting processes and improve efficiency. Additionally, you will respond to inquiries from government authorities and assist in audit preparations. You will play a key role in implementing best practices in accounting and contribute to the overall financial health of the organization.
