Overview

Datadog is seeking an Enterprise Sales Executive to target and close new business with large strategic customers. You'll focus on understanding customer pain points in cloud environments and delivering tailored solutions. This role requires 3+ years of closing experience and a proven track record in sales.

Job Description

Who you are

You have 3+ years of experience in closing sales, particularly within mid-market or enterprise environments. You are driven and have consistently met or exceeded direct sales goals of over $1 million, with an average deal size of $100,000 or more. You possess a strong ability to prospect and build relationships with key stakeholders in large organizations, particularly Fortune 1000 companies. You have a deep understanding of customer business needs and can effectively negotiate favorable pricing and business terms by demonstrating the value and ROI of solutions. You are resourceful and can navigate challenges that arise during the sales process, ensuring high forecasting accuracy and consistency.

What you'll do

In this role, you will prospect into large Fortune 1000 companies while running an efficient sales process. You will maintain, build, and own specific relationship maps for your territory, which includes both existing relationships and aspirational contacts. You will develop a comprehensive understanding of your customers' businesses, identifying their pain points as they operate in or migrate to a cloud environment at scale. You will negotiate favorable pricing and business terms with large commercial enterprises, focusing on selling value and ROI. You will handle existing customer expectations while expanding your reach and depth within your assigned territory. You will demonstrate resourcefulness when faced with challenges that defy easy solutions and have an intuitive sense of the necessary steps to close business and gain customer validation.
