Google is seeking a Semiconductor Equipment Technician to maintain and troubleshoot semiconductor equipment. You'll work with ICP, PVD, CVD systems and utilize diagnostic tools. This role requires 5+ years of experience in the semiconductor industry.
You have at least 5 years of experience in the semiconductor industry, specifically in maintaining and troubleshooting equipment such as ICP, PVD, and CVD systems. Your expertise includes working with electrical and electronic systems, mechanical and pneumatic systems, software controls, and vacuum systems. You are proficient in using diagnostic equipment like helium leak checking devices, multimeters, and oscilloscopes. You are comfortable working non-standard hours, including weekends and holidays, and can lift equipment weighing up to 50lbs throughout an 8-hour shift. You have an Associates Degree or a Trade/Technical School Certificate, which complements your hands-on experience.
You excel at troubleshooting equipment by checking software logs, PLC signals, and wiring to identify the root cause of failures. Your experience includes collaborating with outside vendors for tool installations and process qualifications. You are familiar with supporting emergency response and safety teams, and you follow strict Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) while maintaining accurate maintenance logs and equipment documentation. Your ability to read blueprints, mechanical drawings, and electrical schematics is a key asset in your role.
In this position, you will perform routine preventative and corrective maintenance to maximize equipment uptime. You will execute electro-mechanical and pneumatic troubleshooting on a variety of toolsets, ensuring that all systems operate efficiently. You will collaborate closely with process and equipment engineering teams to improve tool performance and reliability, contributing to the development of custom silicon solutions that power Google's innovative products.
Your role will involve supporting the equipment engineering department with maintenance, tool installations, retrofits, and repairs as needed.
