What you'll do

As a Business Development Intern at Encore Renewable Energy, you will play a crucial role in supporting the firm's renewable energy project origination and development efforts. You will work closely with the Business Development Team to assist in various activities that contribute to the growth of the company's portfolio. Your responsibilities will include conducting outreach campaigns to potential customers and landowners, helping to identify and secure new project opportunities.

You will engage in GIS analysis to assess potential project sites, conducting thorough site research to gather relevant data that informs decision-making. Additionally, you will assist in evaluating project financial models, gaining insights into the financial aspects of renewable energy projects. This internship will provide you with a comprehensive understanding of the business development process within the renewable energy sector, allowing you to develop valuable skills and knowledge.

Throughout your internship, you will have the opportunity to collaborate with cross-functional teams, including project development, finance, and legal, to ensure a cohesive approach to project acquisition and development.
