What you'll do

In this role, you will lead cross-functional teams of machine learning engineers and data scientists, focusing on optimizing delivery logistics and enhancing consumer signals. You will own the algorithmic systems that power key delivery experiences, ensuring that orders arrive hot and fresh. Your responsibilities will include building and scaling models that optimize rider dispatch based on food preparation times, as well as owning machine learning systems that communicate network status to consumers.

You will take charge of core delivery performance metrics, such as surge requirements and restaurant ranking adjustments, translating complex delivery challenges into production-ready machine learning and optimization systems. Your role will involve close collaboration with product managers, software engineers, and operations teams, guiding projects from problem framing through to deployment and iteration.

You will also be responsible for mentoring and developing your team, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement. By leveraging your expertise, you will help shape the future of Deliveroo's delivery network, ensuring that it remains fast, reliable, and efficient.
