Overview

SpaceX is seeking a Senior IT Systems Administrator to support Microsoft-based technologies and maintain critical resources for all personnel. You'll work with Windows infrastructure, including Active Directory and O365 applications. This role requires 3+ years of IT systems administration experience.

Job Description

Who you are

You have a Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline and at least 3 years of experience in IT systems administration, or 5 years of experience without a degree. You possess broad knowledge and experience across Microsoft-based technologies, particularly in maintaining a Windows-based infrastructure. Your expertise includes Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and IIS, and you are comfortable troubleshooting and recovering failed Windows systems or resources. You are familiar with scripting languages such as PowerShell, Python, and Bash, which you use to automate tasks and improve efficiency. You thrive in a fast-paced environment and are a self-starter who can adapt to changing priorities while maintaining a focus on user support and productivity.

Desirable

Experience with user productivity applications like O365, Outlook, and Teams is a plus. You have a proactive approach to implementing policies based on guidance from security and engineering teams, and you are skilled at defining, documenting, and implementing best practice standards. Your ability to monitor for and remediate critical issues in production environments ensures that you contribute to the overall stability and performance of the IT infrastructure.

What you'll do

As a Senior IT Systems Administrator at SpaceX, you will support users and maintain critical resources across a broad range of use cases and environments. You will troubleshoot and recover failed Windows systems or resources, ensuring minimal downtime for users. Your role will involve implementing policies based on guidance from security and engineering teams, which will help maintain the integrity and security of the IT infrastructure. You will define, document, and implement best practice standards to enhance operational efficiency and user satisfaction. Monitoring for and remediating critical issues in production environments will be a key part of your responsibilities, allowing you to proactively address potential problems before they impact users.
