Staff, Back-end engineer (WMS Inbound)

Who you are

You have over 8 years of experience in backend engineering, particularly in building and operating web applications. Your expertise lies in designing and developing large-scale systems, ensuring high availability and performance. You are proficient in Java and the Spring framework, having successfully shipped multiple web services that handle complex logistics processes.

Your experience with system architecture allows you to create efficient and scalable solutions. You have a solid understanding of relational databases and are skilled in using Git for version control. You are also familiar with microservices architecture, which enhances your ability to develop modular and maintainable systems.

You possess strong problem-solving skills and can analyze business requirements to implement effective technical solutions. Your ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including product managers and operations, ensures that you can meet customer needs effectively. You are committed to continuous improvement and are always looking for ways to enhance code quality and system performance.

Desirable

Experience with AWS services is a plus, as it aligns with Coupang's infrastructure needs. Familiarity with algorithms for optimizing logistics processes will also be beneficial in this role. You are open to exploring new technologies that can improve system efficiency and user experience.

What you'll do

As a Staff Backend Engineer, you will be responsible for designing the architecture of the Warehouse Management System (WMS) and overseeing its development and operation. You will work on integrating various logistics processes, including inbound, inventory, and outbound management, to enhance overall efficiency.

You will develop web services based on the Java platform, ensuring they meet the high standards required for operational excellence. Your role will involve collaborating with other engineers to derive dependencies and develop system integrations that support business operations.

You will also evaluate and introduce new technologies to improve development and operational efficiency. Your work will directly impact the logistics center's ability to meet customer demands and adhere to delivery commitments.
