Uber is hiring a Software Engineer II for the Earner Benefits team to build and launch new earner benefits. You'll work with GoLang to design high-quality, scalable systems that impact the lives of Uber’s partners. This position requires experience in software engineering and distributed systems.
You have a solid background in software engineering, with experience in building and launching scalable systems. You are comfortable engaging in product and engineering discussions, conceptualizing features, and translating them into technical designs. Your expertise in GoLang allows you to build platform components that handle high throughput in distributed systems. You understand the importance of maintaining system health and code hygiene, and you are proactive in refactoring and improving existing systems. You thrive in collaborative environments, working effectively with stakeholders to ensure that the solutions you develop meet user needs. You are committed to delivering high-quality software that impacts millions of users and enhances their experience on the platform.
In this role, you will take ownership of key features and initiatives within the Earner Benefits team. You will engage in product and engineering jam sessions to conceptualize new features and map them into technical designs. Your primary responsibility will be to build software that ships to millions of users, ensuring that earner payments are issued accurately and timely. You will work on building platform components and capabilities for high throughput distributed systems, leveraging your skills in GoLang. You will also be responsible for solving complex problems with simple and elegant solutions, applying software design and architecture fundamentals. As part of your role, you will collaborate with your team to maintain the health of the systems and code base, ensuring robust and resilient operations. You will work closely with motivated teammates in a fast-paced environment, contributing to the overall success of the team and the impact of the solutions you develop.
