Nuro is seeking an Embedded Software Engineer to develop software for autonomous vehicle applications. You'll work with C programming and embedded systems in Mountain View, California. This role requires strong problem-solving skills and a solid understanding of operating systems.
You have a strong foundation in C programming and a solid understanding of computer science fundamentals, including data structures, concurrency, and algorithm design. Your knowledge of operating system internals, such as kernel or driver knowledge, allows you to tackle complex challenges effectively. You possess excellent problem-solving and debugging skills, enabling you to identify and resolve issues efficiently. Your communication and collaboration skills are top-notch, allowing you to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
A background in embedded systems or experience with autonomous vehicle applications would be a plus, as would familiarity with vehicle bring-up and prototyping processes. You are passionate about technology and eager to contribute to the development of innovative solutions in the autonomous vehicle space.
In this role, you will develop embedded software for L2+ to L4 autonomous vehicle applications, focusing on core OS and base software, middle layer, and application algorithm development such as actuator interface and body controls. You will collaborate closely with system, software, and hardware engineers during the definition, design, and verification phases of product development to ensure the safe and reliable operation of the Nuro Driver™. Your hands-on experience will be crucial as you participate in vehicle bring-up, prototyping, development, testing, and debugging on multiple vehicle platforms. You will also work closely with other Nuro autonomy software teams and vehicle OEMs/suppliers to integrate the Nuro Driver™ into vehicle platforms, ensuring seamless functionality and performance.
