Amazon is hiring a Data Center Engineering Operations Technician to support AWS infrastructure services. You'll be involved in troubleshooting, facility management, and collaborating with a diverse team. This role requires familiarity with AWS and operational processes.
You are a motivated individual eager to join Amazon's AWS Infrastructure Services team as a Data Center Engineering Operations Technician. You have a foundational understanding of data center operations and are ready to assist in troubleshooting facility and rack-level events. Your attention to detail ensures that you can perform rack installs and decommissioning while adhering to internal Service Level Agreements (SLA). You are comfortable providing key performance indicators to senior engineers and managing on-site contractors and vendors, ensuring compliance with established practices and local legislation. You thrive in a collaborative environment, working alongside software, hardware, and network engineers, as well as supply chain specialists and operations managers.
Experience in data center operations or a related field is a plus, as is familiarity with electrical and mechanical systems. You are open to learning and growing within the role, contributing to the safety and security standards of AWS infrastructure.
In this role, you will be involved in projects of moderate complexity, assisting in the troubleshooting of facility and rack-level events. You will perform essential tasks such as rack installations, operational readings, and facility management. Your responsibilities will include monitoring the performance of maintenance and operations on all electrical and mechanical systems, ensuring that everything runs smoothly and efficiently. You will collaborate with a diverse team, contributing to the overall success of AWS infrastructure services.
