Google is hiring a Semiconductor Equipment Technician for their night shift in Fremont, CA. You'll maintain and troubleshoot semiconductor equipment, ensuring optimal performance and reliability. This role requires 3+ years of experience in the semiconductor industry and proficiency in various technical skills.
You have at least 3 years of experience in the semiconductor industry, specifically in maintaining and troubleshooting equipment such as lithography, wet etch, dry etch, thin films, and more. Your background includes working with electrical and electronic systems, mechanical and pneumatic systems, as well as software controls and vacuum systems. You are comfortable working non-standard hours, including weekends and holidays, and can lift equipment weighing up to 50lbs throughout an 8-hour shift. You possess an Associate's Degree or a Trade/Technical School Certificate, which complements your hands-on experience.
You are skilled in troubleshooting equipment by checking software logs, Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) signals, and wiring to identify the root cause of failures. Your experience includes using diagnostic equipment such as helium leak checking devices, multimeters, and oscilloscopes. You understand the importance of following strict Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and maintaining accurate maintenance logs and equipment documentation. You can read blueprints, mechanical drawings, and electrical schematics, which aids in your troubleshooting and maintenance tasks.
In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting semiconductor equipment to ensure maximum uptime. You will execute electro-mechanical and pneumatic troubleshooting on a variety of toolsets, collaborating closely with process and equipment engineering teams to improve tool performance and reliability. Your expertise will support the equipment engineering department with maintenance, tool installations, retrofits, and repairs as needed. You will also assist with chemical and material handling, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
