SpaceX is hiring a Facilities Technician to perform routine building maintenance and support campus-wide operations at Starbase, TX. You'll work with plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and carpentry systems, ensuring the facilities are well-maintained.
You have a high school diploma or equivalency certificate and at least 2 years of facilities maintenance experience. Your background includes hands-on experience in construction, project management, and equipment maintenance, which equips you to handle various maintenance tasks effectively. You are familiar with plumbing systems, backflows, lift stations, sewer machines, and pumps, allowing you to troubleshoot and repair issues as they arise. You understand the importance of adhering to safety guidelines and are committed to maintaining a safe working environment for yourself and your colleagues.
As a Facilities Technician at SpaceX, you will perform routine building maintenance tasks, including non-technical troubleshooting and repair of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and carpentry requests. You will conduct site-wide maintenance to our facilities, which includes painting, patching walls, and replacing ceiling and flooring tiles. Your role will also involve performing inspections and repairs to assigned site interior and exterior areas, ensuring that all aspects of the facilities are in optimal condition. You will aid janitorial and hospitality staff with general requests for support, including moving furniture and equipment, and disposing of garbage using forklifted dumpster bins. Additionally, you will manage other campus-wide operations and maintenance programs as assigned by facilities management, demonstrating your ability to adapt to various tasks and responsibilities.
